This kind of reminds me of the motion picture CONTACT with Jodie Foster.

Madanapale for letting me do this IR conversion of his Contemplation image

Tech Spec

3 layer combo. Sky, foreground and carlos daughter.
After the IR conversion i applied a alpha mask to get the original sky background. I also applied a turquoise colortone to the foreground which gives the scene a kind of surreal look.
There was also a lot of manual work like getting the right sky blue or get riddim of the noise that get's created when converting a image.

So you "borrowed" Carlos photograph to show us your skills with PS?
Not sure if this is something you should post here.

I would suggest putting it in the forum section instead.

Don't take it personally though but I by far prefer the "real" post by the Maestro!

I prefer the original too! This belongs in photo-manip or in the galleries IMO. IR is something that I prefer to be done in-camera, not in PS.

Thanks Mario to take your time to create a new version from the "score"!!
The whole place seems to be exploding with light and I like it!!
Surreal....and yes it does reminds me also of "Contact"....a beautiful sciene fiction novel written by Carl Sagan!......
My daugther will enjoy this because Sagan is one of our favorite authors.....she is reading now "The world and its demons" also by Sagan....
And wow that is really a coincidence!!
I am going to send the image to her!!

Good work indeed, but I think w/o the figure it would have been better. The contrast is just too much.

Due to the intensive adjustments of combining photo elements I'm moving this to manipulation.

Love the smattering of colour as she is crouching contemplating ... why the lake is white! She obviously doesn't know she is in an IR photo!!!

Excellent work tho, I like the splash of colour!
